015 I've had this issue now for a while. I'm using Linux mint and I've got games that I play on it. First person shooters which, for the most part work fine but, I did install one Warsow and that's the first time I saw the input not supported come up. I've more recently installed Halo using wine which installed just fine but, when I go to play the game, the message again pops up. Gettin very frustrating not being able to figure this out. I'm usually the 'guru' who knows the answer to the computer issues.. now, I need someone to help so I can play my games.. :p anyway, if anyone has figured this out, I would LOVE to hear form you. This is likely a screen resolution issue.
That monitor has a native resolution of 1440x900 (I used to have one). If the game is feeding the monitor too high a resolution, the monitor can't display it and.....input not supported. So, if the game has a configuration option (without going into the game itself) set the resolution to 800x600 and try to play. If it works, bump up the resolution until it looks acceptable.
