Windows Media Player is in Windows 10 Pro and just to confirm before writing this, does still have the sync function for my Opal MP3 player and my HTC Windows 8x phone. Both show under the upper right corner sync tab menus 'play, burn, then sync'. If it is not showing on yours, I have no clue why. HTC Sync Manager 3.1.88.3 on 32-bit and 64-bit PCs. Although there have been changes to the way Sony deals with file formats, SonicStage is still sometimes required for owners of older model MP3 players produced by Sony. The earlier models only supported the SonicStage format but Sony seems to have loosened up on that.
Unlike competing programs like iTunes, SonicStage does not contain any of the pretty graphics you might have expected.
The program is pretty slow and often produces errors which has largely led to Sony abandoning the project. Even their Sony Connect music service seems to have been shuttered.
In the end: Only use this program if you must, e.g. you have an older Sony MP3 Walkman.

To manually troubleshoot or upgrade your installation of the Player, try the following:
Driver Download For Windows 10
Click the Start button, type features, and then select Turn Windows features on or off.
Expand Media Features and see whether the Windows Media Player check box is selected. If it is, clear the check box.
Click OK and then restart your PC. This will remove your current version of Windows Media Player.
After your PC has restarted, repeat step 1.
Expand Media Features and select the Windows Media Player check box.
Click OK and then restart your PC. This will reinstall the latest version of Windows Media Player for your system (Windows Media Player 12, with a few exceptions).
Note: Windows Media Player isn't available for Windows RT 8.1.
